How do I know how much a champagne cap is worth?
Search for the cap on CapsCote (by producer, series, variety or keywords inscribed on the cap): its listing shows an indicative rating, free of charge and with no registration required. How do I identify a champagne cap?
Look at the center (producer name, logo, drawing) and the rim (mentions, cuvee, address), then run a search on CapsCote with the legible words. A few words are often enough. Our guide How to identify a cap covers the method in detail.
Does the Capscote rating match the sale price?
No. The rating is an indicative estimate meant to place a cap, not a guaranteed sale price. The actual price of a transaction depends on the agreement between a buyer and a seller, the exact condition of the cap and current demand.
Can I manage my collection on Capscote?

What is champagne cap collecting (placomusophilie)?

How do I report a missing cap?
If a cap doesn't appear in the database, write to us via the Contact page, specifying the producer, series and visible mentions, with a photo if possible. We will add it to the database.
How do I add a photo?
You can submit a photo of a cap via the Contact page. Send a clear, well-framed image taken flat; we will attach it to the corresponding listing after review.
